Story
I have always loved running and used to compete in cross country running as a child, but I need a goal, something to train towards. During lockdown I used running as a way of protecting my metal health and showing my 4 children how getting out in the fresh air and releasing endorphins has a positive effect on the rest of the day ahead. As a personal trainer I set goals and challenges for my clients, and I needed to challenge myself to something that required true dedication and consistency. Time is a barrier for everyone, and this challenge will take time, perseverance, and true grit to complete. I will have to juggle home life, being a mum , running my business and training, but I am excited to take on this challenge and succeed. To see my training program and check in on my progress follow the link https://vmspersonaltraining.co.uk/blog I want to support this charity because 1 in 4 of us are affected by mental health problems and with your support North Yorkshire Sport can train sports clubs and providers in mental health awareness as well as supporting people in the county to become physically active to help manage their mental health. This is a fantastic charity that supports exercise and sport for all in the North Yorkshire. This is my second half marathon and although the last one was flat, I would love to beat my previous time of 1hr51, however will be thrilled to just take part and complete it!!! I will share my training plan, progress pictures and if you fancy checking how I am progressing on a run by run basis follow me on Strava. Thanks for your support! T x
