Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Your support is invaluable to us and very much appreciated.
On 24th June 2022, a group of teachers, parents and friends from King Athelstan Primary School will be taking on a gruelling challenge. We will be hiking the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales in 24hrs to raise funds for King Athelstan's KS1 Playground. It will be challenging and involve a lot of physical and mental strength, but we are confident we will conquer the challenge. To ensure everyone has an opportunity to get involved, we invite our entire school community of families, children, staff and friends to take part in the "Virtual Three Peaks Challenge". It consists in taking part in three challenges of their choice and completing them by 26th June, asking their friends and family to sponsor them.
If you wonder why we are doing this, here is the answer:
As many of you may know, the school is undertaking a significant project of renovating the KS1 playground (The Big Outdoors Project), which is exciting and costly. We have come up with these challenges to help the school raise some funds for the renovation. Our children spend half or more of their time at school than at home during an average week. This is undoubtedly a big drive for us to try and help the school improve its facilities. There is certainly a common passion shared amongst us for the outdoors, and this is one of the many reasons we would like to help with this project. We would like our children and pupils to enjoy a lovely outdoor area, where they feel happy and safe.
This challenge is not just about raising money; it is also about showing the young children at school what can be achieved through hard work, grit, and determination. We are proud to do this as one team, and we appreciate your support.
Please dig deep and sponsor us, and every penny will go directly to the school and this excellent initiative.
Thank you,
Team Three Peaks - Darren, Barbara, Kayleigh, Ceris, Emma, Tania, Michael and Jordan and Everyone from Team Virtual Three Peaks
