We have seen in the news the vitriol and abuse levied at Muslims, asylum seekers and refugees around the UK. I've started this fundraiser to give back. PAFRAS are a grassroots charity supporting those in destitution, navigating the inhumane asylum process, as well as providing direct support regarding food parcels, mental health and above all, community. I don't have the words strong enough to say how much I deplor those who took targeted action against asylum seekers and refugees lately. I wanted to do this fundraiser to give back, especially as now more than ever, they'll be in hiding. Asylum seekers and refugees experience some of the greatest barriers to healthcare, and often, have experienced profound trauma. It is luck where you are born, and it is a privilege we don't know what it like to leave your life and loved ones in fear of persecution, or having to hide from bombs or live on cusp on death due to famine. ALL ASYLUM SEEKERS AND REFUGEES ARE WELCOME. IN SOLIDARITY 💪
