We are running 10k in October in the Suffolk Run to raise money for Buildaid (www.buildaid.org). For those who know me (Helen), this will be a challenge! Not so much for Clair and Liz! But still a great effort all round and a fantastic cause. ****** BuildAid’s mission is to provide sustainable infrastructure and construction aid for people in need around the world. They work with local partners, providing expertise and funding to build medical, educational and welfare facilities. Their work literally saves lives, creates opportunities and improves the welfare of people in disadvantaged areas globally. ****** This year, the whole team of runners at this event for BuildAid will be raising funds to build more classrooms at one of the partner schools in rural Kenya. For many children, this type of school is their only option as they can not afford to go elsewhere. Colin Davies School gives hundreds of children a chance at a quality secondary education that they wouldn’t get otherwise. But demand for places is very high and the school is becoming overcrowded – it urgently needs more classroom space so it can keep taking in new students.
