Last year I saw a statistic that really shocked me: 75,000 children would wake up on Christmas Day homeless. As a Dad of a 5 year old daughter I know that Christmas should be a magical time where friends and family share precious time together not worrying about the roof over your head. This year I'm running the Great North Run in support of a local homelessness charity called the Cyrenians. They do an amazing job helping those affected by homelessness rebuild their lives. The aim is to raise as much as I can to help them continue doing the amazing work and one day ending homelessness in the North East.
