On 9th of October 2022 I will be running Chicago Marathon, in my attempt to complete the 6 start finishers marathon journey (I have already done London and New York!), and I want to support again the British Heart Foundation This charity is close to my heart , my brother in law Geson had emergency surgery in 2017 cause of a congenital heart disease. We later found out that my wife and my mother in law are affected as well even if fortunately to a lighter extent. Geson spent more than one week in intensive care in life threatening condition, at that time his wife and all the family were really all scared and shocked about what just happened ... luckily enough he survived and he's now back to a "normal" life, he had a great recovery thanks to amazing people who took care of him and thanks to the donation made to BHF from people like you. He was strong and lucky; unfortunately many other people die every year because of similar inherited heart conditions. Thanks to your donations, BHF research now know about many of the faulty genes that cause an inherited heart condition. By finding these genes, BHF researchers can create genetic tests to help find family members also affected by an inherited condition. But more still needs to be done. This is why I am asking for your kind support of my cause and we will all be forever grateful for any amount of money donated!
