On September 3rd, I will be taking part in the annual Run Silverstone 10K, at the Silverstone International Racing Circuit. I have decided to raise money for ‘Buddies Dementia Cafe’ in Nettleham. This small charity provides fantastic services and support for those with Dementia and their carers. The charity started in 2017 with no funding, along with the impact of COVID the charity has managed to carry in supporting the local area. They have 2 meetings a month and have an average of 40 people attend now, 2 of which are Abi’s grandparents which makes this charity closer to heart. Each year around 3 trips are organised and an annual Christmas party. It’s a wonderful opportunity to bring people together with a variety of singing, dances and walks. All of the money donated is guaranteed to go to the charity and have a great impact to help this ongoing charity and support those who use it. Sadly dementia will affect a lot of peoples lives and ‘Buddies’ is there for small community of people and needs your support. Thank you
