Thank you for visiting my page! Run to the Sun is a fab event that raises vital funds for local Durham charity RTProjects: an amazing organisation that supports those who are experiencing poor mental health through the world of creativity. Run to the Sun usually takes the form of a 24 hour relay which is so much more than that; more a festival of community, cake, costumes and silliness than running, with a good splash of love and fun in there too. This year, the relay can't take place in the usual way or location, so I'll be joining in virtually instead. I'll be doing 240 mountain climbers - 10 for every hour of the relay. I'd like to say that I'll attempt that in one go but given that I'm effectively carrying a little one up that mountain (at 4 months' pregnant) that might be a little too ambitious! As with many charities at this time, RTProjects have found new and inventive ways to support those who would sorely miss their services - and without the generosity and help of amazing fundraisers and donors like you they wouldn't be able to do so.
