My name is Roman Heaton and I'm 8 years old. I spend my Summers hiking, camping, canoeing and generally enjoying the outdoors across Scotland with my Nana and Uncle William. Next year, on July 1st 2022, I will be walking the West Highland Way, from Glasgow to Fort William which is a total of 97 miles over 6 days with the support of my Nana and Uncle William. I have chosen two charities; The Brain Tumour Foundation and Young Lives vs Cancer to raise funds for on this challenge. The reason for choosing these charities, is the support they have provided to my uncle Scott, who has a brain tumour and needs constant care and support, and was diagnosed around his 18th birthday but continues to fight and survive far longer than was expected.
