As a young boy, I spent 3 years on crutches, and I was told to expect to have a replacement hip by the age of 30.
This year, having reached 30 without the need for any invasive surgery, I thought I'd celebrate my continued bipedal abilities (and unconsciously speed up the process of bone degradation...) by doing some running for charity.
I don't like running, nor am I any good at it, but I do believe in good causes. So on 13th July I will be running the British 10K for Scope, a charity that is dedicated to supporting and representing people with far worse disabilities than myself.
So please dig deep for a good cause. Any contribution you are able to give, small or large, can help make a change.
