My daughter was born 2 months premature, but thanks to the care and support we received she made it through. Tommys funds research into pregnancy problems and provides information to parents. One in four women lose a baby during pregnancy and birth. To give every baby the best chance of being born healthy, Tommys work to fund medical research into the causes of premature birth, stillbirth and miscarriage. Tommy's fund three research centres in the UK, including St Thomas in London, St Marys in Manchester and the recently established Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh, which focus their research efforts on different issues relating to pregnancy.
