*** Update: Challenge completed, slightly belatedly! Calling the run "One Day in Summer" was obviously tempting fate, being the first week in June in Scotland. We set off at midnight as planned, but had to abandon after 14 hours at Bridge of Orchy as torrential rain wiped out most of the path along Loch Lomond, and took us both to the edge of hypothermia and the edge of Rannoch Moor with no more dry clothes. Back to Glasgow for a curry and to regroup, we went back up the next day in lovely sunshine to finish what we started. Calendar time close to 41 hours, running time just over 23 hours. Never again! Thanks to all for their support, should end up being close to £14k raised for the charity. John & Mark.
96 miles, 17 thousand feet of ascent, 24 hours. No wheels, taxis or horses, just running. The route is the famous West Highland Way in Scotland, a rugged cross country route through mountains and glens, starting in Milngavie and ending in Fort William. John and Mark will start on the stroke of midnight on June 6th 2015, and hope to finish before midnight the following night.

We are running for Mary's Meals, the charity that now feeds almost one million children every day in some of the poorest countries on earth. Every 12 raised feeds a child for a year. Our 6000 target would feed 500 children for a year.
