We are currently raising funds to develop an online package of our domestic abuse drama MOCKINGBIRD HIGH which explores the impact of domestic abuse on children from pregnancy to teenage years.

As many as 275 million children worldwide are exposed to violence in the home. Yet, we know that domestic violence is under-reported and some countries have no data at all.

Raising awareness of the scale and impact is a crucial stage of helping children get what they need. We need to know what’s happening so we can create change, stop victim blaming and provide support. Drama is an excellent medium of connecting us emotionally with these sensitive issues, so we can better experience them and develop our learning

MOCKINGBIRD HIGH is a compelling, lyrical exploration of the devastating impact of domestic violence on two teenage children and their mother. Mockingbird High is an essential experience for anyone working in the field of safeguarding children.

OUR APPROACH - Using dynamic original theatre we seek to reveal the dynamic of power and control to enable audiences and participants to connect with the issues on a personal and emotional level helping them to ‘experience’ the subject matter and develop a deeper understanding and insight into the complex issues of domestic abuse.

Our performances are not ‘role-play’ workshops they are professional plays written by a professional playwright and performed by professional actors. Lifting ‘issue-based’ drama to a whole new level. A unique approach to engaging people of all ages in sensitive issues and for adults, children and young people to learn in a safe accessible environment.
