Once again we are raising funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care because over Christmas and New Year 2012/13, three people only one step removed from us died of cancer: Ben Edge, Ebba Metzner and Debbie Case. Over the months preceding their death, we've seen how they, their partners, their children, their friends and many other people around them hoped, prayed, suffered and cried. Nurses like the Marie Curie Nurses support terminally ill patients and their relatives in their homes. These nurses do a great job, staying with patients throughout the night so the ill person is not alone while their relatives can get some much needed respite. Like last year, we will go on a Walk Ten for Marie Curie Cancer Care this summer. Our 10K walk will take off from Beaulieu Estate, Hampshire, on Saturday 8th August. Please give generously, so Marie Curie Cancer Care can keep up their excellent work. Please also check out our page for some pictures from our Walk Tens from previous years.
