Anne Harvey is raising £1,000 for RSPCA Hertfordshire East Branch
About
One of our Volunteers and a Committee Member, Anne Harvey, is going to Vancouver in Canada for September. Anne will be doing a sponsored 'hike' to raise as much money as possible for the RSPCA Hertfordshire East branch. The Grouse Grind is a 2.9-kilometre trail up the face of Grouse Mountain, commonly referred to as Mother Natures Stairmaster. The trail is known to be a very challenging rugged terrain and steep climb, up an approximate 56 per cent slope (30) and has an elevation of 853 metres (2,800 ft). The Hertfordshire East Branch of the RSPCA was established in 1927 in order to raise money for local animal welfare. We are a separately registered branch of the RSPCA and responsible for raising all our own funds locally, so the Branch heavily relies on the support of donations from the public to fund its work. The areas covered by the Hertfordshire East Branch include Ashwell, Aston, Baldock, Benington, Buntingford, Great Offley, Harpenden, Hertford, Hitchin, Knebworth, Letchworth, Oaklands, Stevenage, the Hadhams, Walkern, Ware, Watton, Welwyn, Welwyn Garden City and Wheathampstead
