Kate Deans is raising £200 for LIVED
About
I will be running the Hackney Half Marathon on 8 May this year to raise some much needed funds for LIVED, a registered Scottish charity working with children who have been displaced from their homes around the world. LIVED have previously created a short documentary on the experiences of Syrian children living within the Zaatari refugee camp in Jordan. They are currently raising funds for projects in Colombia and Europe, to hold film-making workshops and create short documentaries on the daily lived experiences of people living in camps and informal settlements at both locations. LIVED is run entirely by volunteers, and all funds go directly to helping secure equipment, facilities and running costs for the projects. I have been volunteering with LIVED for a year and a half, and will be organising and working on the project going to Calais this June. For more information www.livedprojects.org Thank you!
