Story

Home-Start Chichester & District is an independent registered charity which supports local families with young children. We provide practical and emotional support to parents who are facing difficulties such as health and wellbeing, financial hardship, disability, bereavement or loss of confidence in their ability to give their children the best start in life. Parents with at least one child under five can request or be referred to our service and receive one to one support from experienced staff and volunteers for 2-3 hours weekly for up to a year. Home-Start works with parents to manage and resolve problems; with children to promote their all round development and with the whole family to enjoy playing and learning together in a happy secure home environment. Last year, we supported 96 families and 205 children under five.
