It's out in the open! I'm going to be on Strictly Come Dancing!! Well, the local Business version run by the fabulous Pavilion Dance South West. Many don't know but as a charitable organisation, on a mission to Transform Lives Through Dance. They hold inclusive dance classes and workshops for people of all ages and skills, and put on exciting and innovative live dance shows at their esteemed venue – all while lifting the local communities around us through the power of dance! The work as a charity has always taken them into many inspirational communities, supporting disadvantaged groups with inclusive and engaging dance programmes like Dance for Dementia, Parkinson’s Dance and SHIFT – for those suffering with Dementia, Parkinson’s, and low mental health (among others). They keep their prices low to encourage everyone to access the arts, and recognise the potential dance has to lift up and inspire local communities all over the UK. My dance partner Char will be putting me through my paces over the coming weeks to prepare for the BIG show, where I perform in front of colleagues, friends and family at the Hilton Bournemouth - 22nd November 2024.
