In January 1995, my mother died of bowel cancer. MacMillan nurses helped her through her final few weeks of life. They were amazing people and I know that Mum was looked after incredibly well. In November, exactly 20 years since MacMillan nurses were at her bedside, I have finally got around to repaying a debt. With our daughter Sarah, I am going to run the New York Marathon to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support. I have paid for the flights and race entry myself, so all contributions (i.e. every penny raised) will go to Macmillan. Please give generously to this very worthy cause.
