People are the heart of a community. Church, Pre-School, toddler groups, Rainbows, Brownies and Guides, elderly groups, Boys Brigade, holiday clubs, youth clubs, private parties, band practices, tea mornings, sports groups, slimming world... ... the groups and events are great. The facilities are not. Counterslip Baptist Church in Whitchurch, South Bristol, has a daunting task of having no choice but to demolish some derelict buildings on its site. This needs funding. What's more exciting is the prospect of a new building for the church and its dozens of groups, which serve hundreds of people from the community every week. This needs a LOT of funding. Please sponsor me, Dan Flynn, Ben Smith and others who are running the Bristol Half Marathon on 21st Sept this year to help fund an important community project in south Bristol.
