We have recieved £38,000 grant from SPIFOX for the purhcase of a new minibus. The quote has gone up due to an increase in demand since we initially applied so need your help to raise £5000 A new minibus will offer us the opportunity to expand on our current services to children, young peiople and the elderly. Each year we are paying a considerable amount on rental and this bus will allow us to redirect monies to directly support our beneficieries. • To engage disadvantaged children and young to engage and elderly in community led activities by offering free and accessible transport • Removal of transport as a barrier to participation and reduce the centre’s reliance other transport providers • To widen access and increase participation in activities for children and young people and elferly in conjunction with other community groups, schools and projects • To support the ongoing work of the Holiday Hunger programme and Operation Christmas which involves delivering food parcels and Christmas presents to families experiencing poverty and hardship • To support the personal social, emotional and physical health and wellbeing of children and young and elderly people through their increased participation in centre activities and volunteering opportunities
