Story

The gardening club supports the wellbeing of Hollybush pupils. Some pupils live in flats or have limited access to gardens and some children just need or enjoy extra time outside with nature and we wish to give them a place to find calm, and keep this club running. Before Covid-19, the club planned to extend to parents for a planting day, reaching out to adults with the therapy we provide, thus bringing the wider community together. We are sad to say that many of our pupils have lost loved ones during the pandemic and it is especially difficult to provide comfort with so many restrictions on meeting with family and friends . We care deeply about our pupils wellbeing and have decided to create a memorial garden that will provide a place of solitude and calm where our pupils have the space to remember, to grieve and to heal.
