Having been through major operations to remove a brain tumour when I was 12 years old I truly understand how important it is for children with illnesses to get the best possible care. I also know the support given by brilliant people that work in places like Birmingham Children's Hospital makes a real difference and from my experience made me feel like I could deal with the situation I was in.
