On the 17th August 2014 I will be bungee jumping from a height of 400ft (The highest bungee jump in the country) to raise money for the Iraqi people fleeing conflict in Mosul, Iraq. Of all the crazy challenges I have embarked on thus far, this one truly petrifies me, however I am willing to face my fears for a good cause! The current situation in Mosul, Iraq has caused over 500,000 to flee their homes after a group of insurgents stormed the area and took control of the city. Half a million people are waiting at the border of Kurdistan for emergency relief and refugee status. From our offices from the heart of Mosul, Human Relief Foundation is distributing emergency food, bedding and shelter to those affected by the crisis. As the situation advances towards Baghdad, we expect the crisis to worsen and we need to be prepared. Human Relief Foundation is appealing for donations for emergency food and non food items, so that we can provide relief and assistance to the thousands of vulnerable people who need our help.
