As I approach my 65th birthday on April 11th, I have realised once again that I need a huge challenge, and here it is. Accompanied by my longtime mate and cycling buddy, Andy, I have come to the time in my cycling career when I will also be one of the hundreds of people, when asked the question "Have you ever cycled Lands End to John O'Groats", I will be able to answer YES I HAVE.
We are doing this ride between May 6th and 17th 2015, a total of around 900 miles in 12 days, averaging 75 miles per day. Whilst we are not joining one of the many organised End to End charity rides, I always think this kind of effort demands some support in the way of raising funds for a worthwhile cause. I have chosen to support Arthritis research UK on this ride as I have family and friends suffering from this sometimes crippling disease, and I am sure you will know people too. I hope you can spare a few pounds in support of my ride, to support this charity and make the ride even more enjoyable than I expect it to be.
Thanks.
Alan
