The Philippines rests on the Pacific Ring of Fire and is subject to earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and over 20 typhoons a year, resulting in excessive flooding and severe storm damage.
Since 2009, the country has seen numerous natural disasters leaving many without the basic necessities to live their lives.
The Philippine Community Fund supports disaster relief following the typhoons these people have seen in the past years by providing packages containing blankets, one set of clothing, a hygiene kits and basic food and water supplies to feed a family for 3 days. They also run their own school, providing education to those who would otherwise not attend school.
On the 28th of September I will be running the Ealing Half-Marathon to raise as much as I can for PCF. The Philippines is beautiful country, with beautiful and passionate people who need your help to attain the basic necessities of life!!
