I'm going to be swimming the Bournemouth Pier to Pier swim, with hope to raise as much money as possible for British Heart Foundation.
Somebody that I hold very dear to me lives with coronary heart disease, and i love swimming, so i thought what better way to raise money for a charity that i feel passionately about than to accomplish the 1.4 mile swim in the chilly merky channel.
Any money you donate will go towards the pioneering research towards discovering better treatments and cures for people suffering with CHD.
Coronary heart disease is the UK's single biggest killer.
Nearly one in six men and more than one in ten women die from coronary heart disease.
There are nearly 2.3 million people living with coronary heart disease in the UK.
The UK spends nearly 2 billion each year on the healthcare costs of treating coronary heart disease.
Thank you.
