Action Against Cancer is a charity very close to the heart of those at AMV, having improved the life prospects of some of those most near and dear to us. On October 12th, the Mars Petcare team scaled Yorkshire's 3 highest peaks within 12 hours to raise money for this wonderful cause, to support them in continuing to make such a huge impact to so many cancer sufferers and their loved ones. Action Against Cancer has been funding groundbreaking research since 2011. It provides crucial seed funding to innovative projects that could not secure support from other sources. These include the discovery of: a gene that causes cancer; molecules that suppress tumours; and molecules that stop cells multiplying and spreading. There is still lots more work to do to develop better diagnostics and treatments for cancer patients, and the situation is more acute than ever due to the pressures of the coronavirus pandemic. Action Against Cancer continues to work to fund scientists to push the frontiers of what is possible to save lives. Please support us however you can, no donation is too small. Thank you!
