About
Sadly every year, both winter and Christmas amplify the disadvantaged situations of some – this year with the added strain that COVID-19 has caused. So the members of BARCH are making it our mission (and hopefully yours!) to offer a helping hand to those in need. On 06 December, the gym, based in Richmond, is opening up and dedicating it’s space to enable local people to bring in donations which will be divided amongst charities and disadvantaged communities in the local South East / South West London Community. Physical donations are being requested of items such as essentials (from personal - toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, body wash, sanitary items, deodorant – to household – washing liquid, cereal, rice, tinned foods etc) alongside items that will mark Christmas day for those who just cannot afford to do so (think boxed biscuits and chocolates, Christmas cakes or modest gift sets). If you are not local to the area or would prefer to make a donation, we are using this site to take dedicated donations, of which all funds will be used to purchase the items listed above which we’ll take on 06 December and split out amongst the groups we are supporting. The gym which is based in Richmond prides itself on being much more than a space that people go for both physical and mental health – it’s a community that endorses positive behaviors and brings people together who want to do just that – so this is your chance to get involved! Thank you – Team BARCH
