I am delighted to inform everyone that we complete the Three Peaks Challenge for the Mental Health Foundation on the 15/06/2014 in a very respectable time of 22 hours and 20 minutes.
We set off up Ben Nevis at 4pm on Saturday and completed the first mountain in 4 hours. We arrived at Scafell Pike at 2am and proceeded up the mountain surrounded by heavy fog and in the pitch black. Not surprisingly this resulted in us getting lost, however, by following what appeared to be a sheep track we were able to find the path again and complete the climb (up and down) in just over 3 hours.
Finally, we arrived at Snowdon at 10am on Sunday knowing we had 6 hours to climb the last mountain and complete the challenge within the 24 hour time limit. We summated in just under 2 hours and finished at 2.20pm, with one hour and forty minutes to spare!
Having driven 462 miles, walked 24.5 miles and ascended 3,406m our knees ached and we needed sleep but we had done it.

Dear all,
Due to adverse weather conditions on Ben Nevis on the weekend of May 3rd we have had to postpone the challenge until June. However, we did head to Snowdon for a practice climb and are most certainly on track for success in the Summer!

On May 3rd 2014, Adam, Chris, Iza, Larissa, Peter and Piotr will be scaling three mountains in Scotland, Wales and England in under 24 hours. Scale with us to squash stigma by fundraising for Mental Health.
Why Mental Health?
Mental Health affects 1 in 4 individuals regardless of age, gender, sexuality, socio-economic and ethnic background and yet historically these organizations have the lowest donation rates.
The Mental Health Foundation is the UKs leading Mental Health Organization and is instrumental in:
improving policy and practice in mental health
campaigning to raise awareness and remove stigma
providing high quality advice and information to help people better manage their mental health and well-being and
providing practical solutions to improve the quality and access to mental health services in the UK
Join us on our climb by donating to our cause!
100% of donations on Givey.com go directly to the charity of choice.
